Welcome to my little corner of the Web 2.0 that is TikkunGer.com

I started this blog as a place to reflect upon my conversion process when I began my journey into Judaism. Now with my conversion complete (2006) my blog seems to have evolved and continues to evolve into something more comprehensive and inclusive of the many different aspects of my life.

If I had to pin things down to one simple definition I suppose I would say that:

TikkunGer.com is the space where I can reconcile and embrace the many inconsistencies and contradictions, out of which my little insignificant but unique life seems to flow.

It has certainly blossomed into more than just a blog about conversion or Jewish life, although Judaism remains a dominant theme.

I would like this blog to be fluid enough to reflect my many interests and so as of early 2007 I have begun to incorporate some of my broader interests. Including topics related to my current academic studies, my interests in, current events, psychology, spirituality, philosophy and technology.

It’s really hard to say just where things will go but I’m hoping to create a space where I can successfully integrate a little bit of reflection, a little bit of growth and a little bit of learning. Also I hope that this blog continues to be a useful vehicle for meeting other like-minded individuals from places both near and far.
