Its 70s Classics Sci-Fi Night "Yeah Baby"
Just 4 Fun, Film, General March 6th, 2007Sure I could post more reflections on G-D, science, being a Jew by choice or integral theory. Oh but that’s not going to happen, not tonight anyways.
Why you ask?
Well let me tell you!
Today I hit the 1970s science-fiction jackpot on Google Video and it’s a double bill!
First up its Space 1999 the classic 70s science fiction Film (and show) about the crew of Moon Base Alpha. A completely self-contained lunar outpost which as a result of a nuclear accident was sent hurtling out of the Earth’s orbit (along with the moon I might add). Venturing out into an unknown cosmos, filled with all sorts of low-budget spaceships, aliens and civilization’s.
Next it’s everybody’s favorite post apocalyptic 1970s classic Logan’s Run. This film is a great little story about a post apocalyptic earth where only one domed city remains. In this futuristic world everybody comes from test tubes and is euthanized at the age of 30 (I think its 30). Logan’s Run is the story of two young people’s journey to escape the control of the city and venture out into the uncivilized world, where they rediscover their humanity.
I’m going to post both of them below in case anybody wants to join me but be warned I hate people who talk during good science-fiction movies and it’s bring your own popcorn.

I LOVED Space1999- but Logan’s run…I’m not so fond of the disco- dystopia.
